There is a saying that ''it takes a village to raise a child.''  I also believe that it takes a community of people to make a designer flourish.

My designing career began many years ago when I used to work in my mother's custom bridal boutique.  Originally, I was there to translate and manage the ins and outs of the business.  Pretty soon, I was helping with the wedding dress construction by adding the elaborate beading to various wedding dresses.

One day I had some free time so I began to experiment with the loose pearls and crystals which were meant to adorn the wedding dresses.  A customer who happened to come into the store expressed her interest in the piece, saying that ''it'' was exactly the kind of necklace she was looking for to accentuate her look for her wedding day.  When I told her that I had made it, she asked if she could buy it from me.  Her affirmation of my creative ability was the start of my community of people.

Since then I've dabbled in making jewelry as a hobby and giving them as gifts and special orders. I took some classes in jewelry making and design and also took GIA gemstone certification.  I also spent many years and many dollars as a consumer, buying gems and jewelry, training my eyes to identify quality pieces and stones.  This has helped me produce jewelry with craftsmanship and style.

A few of my friends convinced me to sell my jewelry and even suggested a name for my jewelry collection. They called it ''Jules''. That's how ''Jules'' was born. Many people have come to love Jules. I appreciate all the love and support from my community of jewelry lovers. It is my true passion for natural stones and gems (with flaws and all) and my love of jewelry that led me to create ''Jules Collections.'' Thanks for being a part of my community.
